Five for Fighting

Img_0006

Two weeks ago, the kids were home from school for an entire week on their mid-winter break.
We had a great time sledding....yes, we FINALLY got some snow.

It has been quiet around here.
Last week, Julian came down with something like the flu....fever and achy. He has missed school since Thursday.
His temperature was up to 105. He and I spent a good chunk of the day in the emergency room. He's been fighing this for five days now. He is slowly coming out of it...building up energy and an appetite. I am hoping that he gets better soon.

I have started teaching my Mixed Media Portrait class on Joggles.
I am really loving the class. My students are an eclectic bunch, fun and eager to learn. I am teaching another class called She’s So Unusual which starts on Thursday. Check it out here.

The zine is coming along great. I am not working on it as intensively as I was a few weeks ago. Haven't had much time to post or advertise it much. Spread the word for me if you can. I still have some ad space available in it. If you are interested...it is on my Etsy shop. You can pre-order the zine here. I will be closing the order form this week.

That is all for now. Gotta get back to my boy.

I hope your son feels better soon.

...worried about the fever; hope he's doing better!

By now, I hope Julian is better and over his fever. Loved the pics of them playing in the snow, it looks like fun! Take care, Carla

hi alma
mailed you a little gift last week and wanted to be sure that you got it.
hope you guys are feeling better.

Glad to hear Julian is getting better! 105' is pretty scary!

wow, check out that snow.. we're expecting some today- tho it is unusal for this area... guess my spring like temps last week were too good to be true!

Good luck with your classes, sounds thrilling! ~Monica :)

We must have gotten the same snow. Wow, March 4th for our first snow in Texas and it was gone in 24 hours!
Hope that Julian is feeling better soon, it's hard to work creatively when there is a sick wee one in the house.
Best wishes on the classes and take care,
Juanita

alma, i'm sorry to hear your son has been sick. what you describe with the fever has been going on out here in cali too. my youngest son had a fever for several days. he seemed fine otherwise. when the fever finally ended he got a runny nose, then a terrible sounding chest cough. all told, it's been about two weeks already. i hope julian is feeling much better soon! and your mixed media portrait is Beautiful! i love the buttons in her hair and the happy colors.

Poor kid! I hope he feels better soon. My son and I have been under the weather, too, but much milder than Julian.... I love the pictures of the kids in the snow.
